I’ve been fortunate enough to interview and/or work with many stellar names from the soundtrack of so many of our lives: Adam Ant, Blondie, Boy George & Culture Club, David Bowie, George Michael, Pete Burns, Pet Shop Boys, to name but a few.
So I’m delighted and honoured to be commissioned to write the essay sleeve notes for a new deluxe edition of the debut album from Visage, one of my favourite bands of the 1980s and a New Romantic classic that still sounds brilliant 38 years on. My original vinyl copy was under the custodianship of Adele Rogerson the last time I saw it, with an indelible imprint of my handwriting on the sleeve. Keep it safe, ginge. That handwriting may be worth something ?
Thanks to Mark Fowler for the radio connectivity.
Visage (Expanded Edition) is due through Universal via Rubellan Remasters on September 28
